Ingredients like lemons, bananas, and butter squashes available in your kitchen have numerous vitamins and minerals that can refresh the skin and make it glow. When incorporated into facemasks, these ingredients can do wonders for your skin. Regardless of your skin type, you can use these dermatologist-approved face masks to beautify your skin.

So without further ado, let's dig in and find out how you can whip up some of the easiest face masks.

Banana mask

If you often suffer from mild to moderate acne problems, drive them away with one mashed banana mixed into half a teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of turmeric powder. The Vitamin A present in bananas will promote skin-cell turnover, while the turmeric will drive away all acne-causing bacteria. Baking soda, on the other hand, will remove excess oil from the skin.

Avocado mask

Fed up with dry skin? Try an avocado face mask. Blend one avocado with two tablespoons of yogurt, one tablespoon of olive oil, and one tablespoon of honey. New York's Mount Sinai Hospital's Director of Cosmetic and Clinical Research, Joshua Zeichner, says the omega acids present in olive and avocados heal skin cells' cracks while the honey and yogurt keep skin soft and plump.

Oatmeal mask

For people with oily skin, an oatmeal face mask is an elixir. Cook half a cup of oatmeal and cool it down before mixing it with one egg and a tablespoon of lemon juice. The lemon juice will remove excess oil and dead skin cells, whereas oatmeal will soothe the skin, making it fresh and tight.

Butternut squash mask

If you have blemishes on your skin, puree one butternut squash and combine it with one tablespoon honey and two drops of tea tree oil. Butternut squash promotes collagen production, and tea tree oil removes blemishes; while honey brightens the skin. Use this mask weekly for blemish-free glowing skin.

Papaya mask

If you’ve tried everything to liven up your dull skin but failed, using a mashed papaya with some whipped egg white and one teaspoon of honey can work wonders for you. Honey and egg whites bind the mask while the enzymes present in papaya exfoliate dead skin cells. Use this mask as per your wish daily or within a gap of two to three days.

Lemon Mask

Multitasking between home and office can make your skin look tired. But they’re no need to worry. Squeeze one lemon and put the juice together with two tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of olive oil. Apply this mask and massage your skin gently. The combination of sugar and lemon works as an exfoliator while the olive oil hydrates the skin. This is the go-to mask for a fresh party look!
